Teen Volunteers, along with Denise J., the Teen Librarian have hidden copies of the book "Legend" by Marie Lu within the library and at various locations throughout Mahwah. Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to find one of several specially marked copies. Clues will be posted here to help you. Found one? Great! Read it and then initial the back inside cover. Next, pass it to a friend or hide it again. Post to this blog, the Library's Facebook Page, or e-mail the Teen Librarian at: djukniewicz@mahwahlibrary.org, where you found the book, what you thought of it (good or bad), and where you've now hidden it. When posting, please make sure you have your parents' permission. If you plan to e-mail Denise J., she will not post your name if you wish. All posts will be moderated. Last but certainly not least, stop by the Teen Librarian's desk to claim a small prize!
Hello Denise, Justina here. I just wanted to tell you where I hid the book "Legend." When you go to the front entrance of the library, there are four chairs and a bench. Look on the side closest to the brick wall under the chair right next to the bench. I loved "Legend" so much. I thought it was a little bit better than "Divergent."
Hi Denise, I just finished reading "Legend." I thought it was a good, fun, and quick read, and at some points I couldn't put the book down even at 1:30 A.M. I found the book next to "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," and have hidden the book next to an old copy of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" in the library.
Justina K. said that she found a copy hidden behind the "Book Pages" newsletter display which is kept next to the "Teen Programs" board at the Mahwah Library. Could this be our missing copy? Denise J., Teen Librarian
